Geothermal Operating Company (GEOOP) is integrated into the E.ON group

The conference is held in Fællessalen at the Danish Parliament Christiansborg. We are already now looking forward to unveiling the theme of the conference at a later date.

We arranged a debate at Folkemødet on Bornholm a couple of weeks ago. Here is a small video to recap the event, we look forward to 2020.

Greenhouse gas emission targets have been a catalyst for the development of renewable energy resource technologies and the commissioning of renewable energy projects. The growing interest in geothermal energy is a proponent for this thinking.

The People’s Democratic Festival. Geoop participates in the Folkemøde on Bornholm. The green transition is in full swing, and we are living and seeing the changes. We have four sources of fossil-fuel-free energy; wind, sun, water and geothermal, and they have to match our expectations to the security of supply, risk and investment potential.

The 3rd annual geothermal conference was held in Fællessalen at Christiansburg on the 27th February 2019. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Heating for the future (Fremtidens Varme)’ and the event saw presentations from Danish minister of Energy, Utilities and Climate Lars Christian Lilleholt and from the Dutch director-general of Climate and Energy Sandor Gaastra among others.

Dansk Fjernvarme (Danish District Heating Association) wrote a feature article about how Geoop sees the implementation of geothermal heating into the district heating system, and how this support meeting our climate goals.

Geoop is participating in a feasibility study for geothermal energy in the Swedish region of Skåne. The study will run through the first half of 2018.
