The theme of this year\u2019s conference was \u2018Heating for the future (Fremtidens Varme)\u2019 and the event saw presentations from Danish minister of Energy, Utilities and Climate Lars Christian Lilleholt and from the Dutch director-general of Climate and Energy Sandor Gaastra among others.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">F\u00e6llessalen was full, and the audience saw presentations on climate from University of Copenhagen\u2019s Kathrine Richardson, on what measures we have to take now to change by Brian Vad Mathiesen from Aalborg University and how Denmark is addressing the required changes to implement renewable energies by Morten B\u00e6k, permanent secretary of the Danish ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">A debate among the politicians saw the left and right side of parliament agree that we need to address the climate issues at hand, and we need to find models which are sound both technically, financially and not least from a sustainable energy perspective.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">With change come challenges and the day concluded with presentations from ATP, Dansk Fjernvarme and Dansk Energi, on their perspectives on financing and implementation into the system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The day was expertly conducted by Christian Ibsen, Managing Director, Concito &#8211; Denmark&#8217;s green think tank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Selected presentations can be found on\u00a0<span class=\"x_MsoHyperlink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/geoop.dk\/konference-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">https:\/\/geoop.dk\/konference-2019\/<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-695-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/geoop.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/geotermikonference-2019.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/geoop.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/geotermikonference-2019.mp4\">https:\/\/geoop.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/geotermikonference-2019.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 3rd\u00a0annual geothermal conference was held in F\u00e6llessalen at Christiansburg on the 27th\u00a0February 2019.
